Safety and Wellbeing Policy

Heathmont Baptist Church is committed to protecting the safety of all people within its programs, ministries and events.

All people, regardless of age, gender, race, culture, disability and family or social background have equal rights to this protection.

All people (including children) have the right to be respected and valued as well as feel emotionally, physically and spiritually safe at all times.

Our policy has been developed to uphold this commitment to safeguarding and to adhere to National and Local legislation.

The Congregation is committed to providing a safe environment where the dignity of every individual is respected and therefore has a commitment to dealing promptly with matters of conflict brought about by unwanted behaviour and conduct, and the prompt and fair resolution of grievances and disputes.

Our commitment is to meet current standards and to help others to meet them.

All personnel working in the kitchen should have completed basic food handling training available at: http://dofoodsafely.health.vic.gov.au/ or ask the office for our Food Handling Manual
